About Us
Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah is the true founder and inspiration behind the StandUp Pakistan Movement.
When the name "Pakistan" was formally adopted as the goal of an independent homeland through the Lahore Resolution of 23 March 1940, the struggle naturally became known as the Pakistan Movement. Its mission was to establish Pakistan as a sovereign nation, and under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, that mission was successfully accomplished on 14 August 1947.
Today, Pakistan exists as an independent state, but the challenge before the nation is different. The need is no longer to create Pakistan, it is to strengthen, rebuild, and uplift Pakistan. This is the philosophy behind the name StandUp Pakistan Movement, a movement that calls upon the people to stand up for a stronger, fairer, more prosperous, and united Pakistan.
In this spirit, StandUp Pakistan Movement represents the second chapter in the continuing journey that began with the Pakistan Movement. Inspired by the vision, leadership, and principles of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, we strive to carry forward his mission by working for a Pakistan that truly serves its people and fulfills the ideals upon which it was founded.

Founder & Chairman
Ch. Ali Zaib Paracha is the Founder and Chairman of the party. He is dedicated to building a democratic, transparent, and people-centered political movement that represents the aspirations of ordinary citizens.
Guided by a vision of justice, equal opportunity, accountable governance, and sustainable national development, he believes that real progress is achieved when leadership remains connected to the people. His mission is to strengthen democratic institutions, encourage public participation, and work towards a prosperous, united, and progressive Pakistan for future generations.

Concrete policies on the issues that shape every family's daily life.
Education is the first command in Islam - "Iqraa." Yet millions of our children are still locked out of classrooms. SPM will make it a right, not a privilege.
SPM is committed to universal, fee-free access to education, with scholarships and stipends for low-income families and new schools in underserved areas. We will declare matric the minimum literacy standard, modernise curricula to global standards, and invest heavily in teacher training and school infrastructure, clean water, electricity, labs, and libraries in every school. Technology will be brought into the classroom through computers, internet access, and digital learning tools. Education will be made inclusive for girls, minorities, and persons with disabilities, backed by dedicated scholarships. We will also launch evening adult education and technical training programmes so no one is left behind, regardless of age.
Healthcare shouldn't depend on your bank balance. SPM is building a system where every Pakistani rich or poor gets the care they deserve.
SPM will work toward universal health coverage so no citizen faces financial hardship for basic care, expanding health insurance for low-income and vulnerable groups. Primary healthcare facilities will be strengthened and expanded, and rural hospitals, including facilities at the mozah/chak level, will be upgraded to 30-bed hospitals with essential services. We will invest in training doctors, nurses, and paramedics, modernize health infrastructure, and build robust health data systems for better planning. Preventive care, immunisation, and disease screening will be prioritised, alongside stronger regulation of healthcare providers and pharmaceutical standards to ensure safety and quality.
A self-reliant Pakistan doesn't sell raw materials, it builds industries, creates jobs, and exports finished products to the world.
SPM's economic vision centres on making Pakistan self-sufficient: diversifying beyond agriculture and textiles into IT and new industries, investing in infrastructure, and supporting SMEs, the backbone of the economy. We will reform the FBR to broaden the tax net fairly (without burdening existing taxpayers), crack down on evasion, and modernise tax collection through technology. New industries will be launched through investor-friendly policies, talent-hunt and joint-venture programmes, and international partnerships to attract global brands. Energy shortages will be tackled through renewable investment and infrastructure upgrades, while CPEC will be leveraged responsibly for jobs, local industry involvement, and long-term growth, all anchored by an interest-free banking system (see below).
No one should be above the law and no one should wait years for justice. SPM is rebuilding accountability from the ground up.
SPM will free NAB from political influence by having its chairman selected by all parliamentary party leaders, not just the PM and opposition leader, while strengthening its capacity to recover looted national wealth. We will introduce transparent, merit-based selection for judges of the High Courts and Supreme Court, establish High Court benches in every division, and reform civil and criminal procedures to end unnecessary delays. Police will be depoliticized FIRs registered within 30 minutes through offices free of police influence, independent civilian oversight of misconduct, and merit-based postings. Procurement will move to a transparent e-system to cut out corruption, and civil servants will face robust, technology-enabled performance accountability.
Climate change is costing Pakistan billions every year and threatening our future. SPM isn't waiting, we're acting now.
SPM will scale up investment in solar, wind, and hydroelectric power through subsidies and incentives, while launching community-driven afforestation to restore degraded land and sequester carbon. Water security will be strengthened through efficient irrigation, rainwater harvesting, and modern storage infrastructure to guard against both floods and droughts. Farmers will be supported with climate-resilient crop varieties and climate-smart agricultural practices. We will run nationwide awareness campaigns, embed climate education in school curricula, enforce emissions and pollution regulations, and build stronger disaster-preparedness systems while partnering internationally, including through the Paris Agreement, to access climate finance and technology.
Half our population, and all of our future, SPM is putting women and youth at the center of Pakistan's comeback.
For women, SPM will strengthen legal protections against discrimination and gender-based violence, expand access to education and vocational training, and open doors to entrepreneurship, credit, and equal-pay employment. We will push for greater political representation through reserved seats and quotas, and improve access to healthcare, including maternal and reproductive services. For youth, SPM has already launched short IT courses through StandUp Pakistan Foundation (SPF) to build freelancing and digital skills, and will expand talent-hunt and investor-matching programs for young entrepreneurs. Job creation through new industries, SME support, and skills training will be central to giving the next generation real opportunity at home.
The world runs on code and Pakistan's youth are ready to write it. SPM is building the IT ecosystem to make that happen.
SPM will integrate IT education into the national curriculum from an early age, train teachers in modern tech skills, and invest in computer labs, high-speed internet, and new IT universities. We will offer tax incentives and subsidies to IT businesses and SMEs, simplify licensing through one-window operations, and strengthen cybersecurity regulation to protect investors. Specialized institutes focused on AI, data science, cybersecurity, and blockchain will be established, alongside partnerships between government, academia, and the private sector for internships and mentorship. Online learning platforms will extend IT education to remote areas, while startups and freelancers will get support through grants, incubators, and easier access to international markets.
Elections shouldn't belong to the wealthy few. SPM is handing the vote back to every citizen simple, affordable, and fair.
SPM will introduce doorstep voting for citizens who face mobility or accessibility barriers, backed by mobile voting teams, biometric verification, and strict security to prevent fraud, all aimed at cutting the high cost of running elections. We will push for the head of government to be elected directly by the public, strengthening democratic legitimacy and accountability. The Election Commission will be reformed with transparent, non-partisan appointments, financial autonomy, and stronger enforcement powers. Campaign financing will be capped and disclosed publicly, with strict spending limits and independent oversight making the process transparent and accessible to ordinary Pakistanis, not just the wealthy.
"Taking interest is a war with Me" (Allah), Surah Al-Baqarah. SPM will end that war within the first three months of government.
SPM is committed to ending the interest-based banking system across Pakistan, including at the State Bank, and replacing it with Islamic finance principles such as Mudarabah (profit-sharing), Musharakah (partnership), and Wakalah (agency). We will build a legal and regulatory framework that supports Islamic banking, run public awareness campaigns on its benefits, and provide incentives for Islamic financial institutions to expand. This transition will be guided by close collaboration with Islamic scholars, economists, and finance experts, and strengthened through cooperation with other Muslim countries already implementing interest-free systems, building an economy rooted in fairness, partnership, and shared risk.
